Celebrated techno producer Kevin de Vries joins forces with label newcomers Y do I to deliver an electrifying new release, Saga EP. This three-track project, released on the iconic Afterlife label, showcases the duo’s ability to craft emotionally charged techno that resonates with energy, rhythm, and atmospheric depth. As de Vries’ reputation grew, so did his bookings at top festivals and clubs around the world, from Extrema Outdoor and Nature One to Watergate, Sisyphos, and Melkweg. He continued to make waves with releases like Infinity and Cataract, as well as collaborations with legends like Secret Cinema and Weska. In 2018, Tale of Us cemented de Vries’ place in the scene by including his track Path to Immortality in their Fabric 97 mix, further elevating his global standing.
The EP starts off with “Saga”, full of brooding atmospheres and deep rolling basslines, leading to an emotionally charged breakdown, delivering a perfect balance of light and dark that defines the Afterlife sound. “Part Of Me” is a high-energy track with driving beats and hypnotic melodies, while “Arrakeen” is a beautiful composition with deep, immersive layers of sound.
