The title cut ‘Bumpin’’ starts things off with a huge UKG bassline and chugging grooves layered with gritty analogue depth and energetic sampling. ‘That Feelin’ follows with soulful basement jam flavours from the outset. Moody melodies and pumping drums lead the way on this peak-time weapon. ‘Dig A Little’ is next in line, hauling another massive bassline centrepiece with it. As evident through a lot of DXNBY’s recent cuts, the combination of high-energy rhythms and fattened harmonic components leaves an instantly captivating impression. ‘Boogie Man’ rounds off the release with the last slice of mind-bending creativity. Undeniably creative twists and turns, flippant fils and shuddering beats combine with a driving mixture of bass tones and rifling samples to carve out this generous EP package’s fourth and final gem.
Hailing from Doncaster and now based in Leeds, DXNBY has carved out a space in the underground House scene with his signature blend of garage-laced deep tech and rich, immersive sounds. Influenced by artists like Chris Stussy and Enzo Siragusa, he’s released tracks on top labels like Belief, TRMNL, and Seven Dials, with major support from figures like Michael Bibi and Alisha. Known for electrifying sets at the Warehouse Project, fabric, and Ibiza’s Cova Santa, DXNBY has proven his appeal live and online. His self-released track “White Tiger” quickly went viral on TikTok whilst amassing 30k plays on SoundCloud in just four days.
With the release of ‘Bumpin’’, DXNBY continues to stand out from the crowd, bolstered by a slew of industry support and dancefloor appreciation for his unique and gripping sonic signature.
