Lilova make a return to the Baikal Nomads record label with their new organic house single Gori, which also includes remixes by Borowsky and Tebra.
“Gori” is the only original track; it has stunning vocals and live instruments at the heart of its epic sound. Carried forth by sturdy percussion, it’s a dance floor-focused track with a huge sound that at times overlaps into progressive house.
This is the third time that Lilova have featured their music on Baikal Nomads, and once again they put their magnificent sound on full display. Combining cinematic vocals and organic instruments, they have a unique style that showcases both musicianship and a mastery of electronic music.
Borowsky is the production side of Lilova, and he provides a solo remix that makes less use of the vocal. Adding organic conga fills and a chugging acid bassline, his downtempo rework reimagines the track into a psychedelic journey.
Tebra completes the package with a majestic remix similar to the style he’s released through record labels ranging from Pipe & Pochet to Go Deeva. Adding some Afro percussion and flurries of guitar, his uplifting rework has a hot and humid sound.
It’s a great release that is well produced, and although labelled as organic house, it has elements that are familiar to a number of melodic genres.
