Kelly Cappuccio is an Italian artist who had a busy month in November 2025, releasing two singles that showcase her eclectic tastes.
She started the month with the release of her Afro-influenced indie dance track “Chiquilla” and finished it with her techy, soulful house track “Broke Pain”.
Producing and playing everything from techno to progressive house, Kelly Cappuccio is also a skilled DJ who plays regular shows in Naples and other parts of Italy.
We caught up with Kelly Cappuccio to find out more about her new releases, her background in music, and what she has planned for the future…
Tell us about your background, and how you fell in love with electronic music?
Kelly: “My love story with electronic music began in my father’s studio when I was just a child. I would spend hours watching him work in front of Cubase, completely mesmerised by the creative process.
My father is a Conservatory-trained guitar professor who specialises in blues and funk, and that musical heritage runs deep in my DNA. Growing up in that environment shaped everything about my approach to music – I learned early in my life that great music comes from genuine emotion and organic sound.
Now, as a producer, I’m driven by this desire to blend those worlds: taking the soul and warmth of blues and funk, and fusing it with the energy and innovation of electronic music. Currently, I’m experimenting with minimal tech, finding ways to weave blues and funk sonorities into those stripped-down, hypnotic grooves.
For me, it’s about creating temporal bridges – honouring the past while building toward the future.”
How would you describe your sound, and what defines it?
Kelly: “I don’t believe in purely synthetic productions. I need that human element with organic warmth. 99% of my tracks are built with real recorded sounds – whether that’s live instruments, authentic vocal performances, or field recordings I’ve captured myself. I either go directly to studios to record with vocalists, or I work with real singers remotely. The human voice, real instruments, genuine performances – these are non-negotiable for me. Only a small percentage of my sounds come from sample packs or pure synthesis in Ableton.”
Would you consider yourself more of a DJ or a producer?
Kelly: “I’m a DJ first, without question. Production is my craft, but performing live is where I truly come alive. I live through my audience – their energy fuels everything I do. Production is how I prepare my arsenal, and DJing is where I deploy it, but connecting with the crowd on a dance floor is the reason I do both. The studio is important, but the dance floor is home.”
At the start of November, you released your single “Chiquilla,” and we would love to know more about it?
Kelly: “Chiquilla” holds a special place in my heart, because it represents the beginning of my journey – it was one of my very first productions, created several years ago.
The track came to life as a pure creative experiment with EL M16 and Monfré. We came together in the studio with no agenda, no pressure, no specific goal – just three artists wanting to create something together and see where the energy would take us. That spontaneous, collaborative spirit is embedded in every layer of the track.”
November has been a busy month, as you also released another single called “Broke Pain”. Tell us about “Broke Pain”, and what inspired the track?
Kelly: “November is my birthday month, which makes it naturally reflective for me.
People know me as energetic, and always radiating good vibes – but everyone has moments where they need to pause, to breathe, to look inward. We all have those necessary moments of stillness.
“Broke Pain” is my sonic representation of that pause. It’s the break before the drop – musically and metaphorically.
The track is calm but deeply emotional, soulful in its core. I wanted to capture that introspective energy, that powerful quietness that comes before the next wave of intensity. It’s contemplative without being sad, deep without being heavy.
The title itself reflects that duality: “broke” suggests something paused or fractured, while “pain” acknowledges the depth of emotion in those reflective moments.
For me, “Broke Pain” is meditation music for the dance floor, and the necessary to breath before we dive back in.”
“Chiquilla” and “Broke Pain” represent different styles. How do you approach making music, and is it a conscious decision to be eclectic?
Kelly: “Yes, it’s absolutely a conscious decision to be eclectic. You’re right – they’re very different tracks. “Chiquilla” was one of my earliest productions, more experimental, less polished, quite different from what I’m creating now. I deliberately chose to release it alongside my current work, because I want people to see the full picture. I want them to witness the progression, the growth, and the evolution from where I started.
I’m not interested in presenting a perfectly curated, sanitised image where everything sounds identical. That’s not honest, and it’s not interesting. I want to build a historical record of my artistic development – the experiments, the learning curve, the journey.”
Tell us about your DJ gigs, what’s coming up, and do you have a favourite live performance from 2025?
Kelly: “I played three gigs in November, and without question, my favourite was November 16th.
Here’s the thing about being a DJ: every time I play, the experience deepens. New emotions surface, new lessons emerge, new connections form. It’s an ever-evolving relationship with the craft and the crowd.
November 16th was extraordinary, as I played an after-party session in Naples at The Wall club from 7:00 AM until 10:30 AM. The sustained energy was magical, as the dance floor never emptied, people were still jumping, and still screaming for one more track when I had to close.”
Is there anything else planned in your schedule before the end of 2025, and what are your goals for 2026?
Kelly: “I’m closing 2025 with “Broke Pain” releasing by Adunanza Records – it’s been the perfect way to bookend this reflective November energy, and finish the year strong.
2026 starts with a completely different vibe, as I’m kicking off the new year with “Wizned.” It’s a minimal tech release that represents where my sound is evolving to. I can’t reveal too much yet, but this release will showcase the progression I’ve been working toward.”

Kelly: “To everyone who’s supported me, who’s danced to my music, and believed in this journey – thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Here’s what I want you to know: there is nothing more beautiful than music. Don’t ever stop listening. Don’t ever stop feeling. Don’t ever stop chasing your dreams.
Music saved me, it shaped me, and it gave me purpose when I needed it most. If my tracks do even a fraction of that for someone else – if they can make you feel something real, make you move, and make you believe in possibility, then I’ve fulfilled my purpose as an artist.
