We took some time to get to know Naz a little better…
What’s your earliest memory involving music?
I started learning piano at a very young age, and then when I started going to school, I picked up Violin and then my love for music and instruments grew from there… playing and learning different instruments throughout my school years.
When did you know you wanted to make music? And what were your first steps in trying to make it happen?
It initially started around 12 years ago…I had bought a midi keyboard which came with a copy of logic express. That didn’t lasy very long though. Fast forward to around 2019/2020… after a semi early life crisis and massive life changing moments, I knew this is what I wanted to do so, I locked myself away in my room and poured over hundred and hundred of hours of youtube tutorials on Ableton.
Have you had any ‘pinch yourself’ moments in your career to date?
Many! My first release ever… then signing with Anjunabeats right after that… then touring and getting to play insane stages like Creamfields, Brooklyn Mirage, Echostage, the Gorge… to most recently being direct support for Tale Of Us. I feel like this whole journey has been a pinch me moment tbh!
Your last release was a remix on Enhanced – how did you hook up with the label for that?
So Farius who is also the A&R at Enhanced is a dear friend of mine, and he reached out asking if I’d like to remix his song!
We read that your aim is to build a community of like-minded individuals to work with throughout your musical journey – can you tell us about some of the people you’ve met so far?
I’ve met so many amazing people on my adventures and what I love is that despite the differences in language, culture, geographic location and whatever it may be… we all share the one common love for music. You can’t miss the familiar lighting up of the eyes and face when having a discussion about it!
What do you have in the pipeline for the rest of 2023?
More releases, more shows, and the start of something very new and exciting!
What final message would you like to leave for our readers and your fans?
Keep on smiling, singing and dancing, it’s what keeps the world going!
