– What can we expect from you in the future?
Touring with a full Venjent band. I have done one live band show in London and it was insane! I used to love bands like The Prodigy and Pendulum growing up. My passion is mixing rock band energy with bass music and this is what I intend to pursue in the future.
– Please explain your creative process
I have 3 main creative processes to start tracks:
- Coming up with a vocal hook in my head and recording it on my voice notes straight away
- Playing piano or guitar whilst singing, writing the song traditionally
- Finding any video from the internet and flip it into a banger
– Is there a hidden meaning in any of your music?
My underlying message in all of my music is ‘LOVE IS THE ANSWER’. I try to promote self love and positive energy in my songs. I adore a hard hitting bass driven track which also gives a philosophical inspiration.
– Do you play any instruments?
Yes I am a drummer at heart. I also play Guitar and Piano which really helps me when writing songs. In the future I will be playing all these instruments live in a Venjent band.
– If you perform in public as a DJ. How does what you play on affect your style of DJing and what is your general process for finding music?
When I play in public as a DJ I turn into a wild animal and start running around everywhere. I can’t stay behind the decks. I have a background being in bands so I love to carry that energy into the DJ scene. I find most of my tracks through beatport, but I enjoy performing my own tracks the most because I can sing and go a bit bonkers!
– On a personal level, what music do you listen to in your free time? Do you have other activities beside music?
Right now I’m listening to relaxing piano ambient music to calm me down. I love all music, it all has something to offer. Some of my favorites include DnB (obvs), Industrial, Metal, Punk, Nigerian funk, Folk, Ambient and Soul.
