Sol Selectas’ welcomes the hight of the summer with its Summer Sol X compilation that marks the day of the summer solstice.
It’s a huge release with 25 tracks focusing on organic house, but expanding into other genres such as Afro house, deep house, downtempo, and minimal.
Fans of organic house know Sol Selectas to be one of the genres most innovative and successful record labels. The label’s roster features music from up-and coming artists alongside established producers, and Summer Sol X also reflects this within its tracklist.
Sabo is the Sol Selectas owner, and it features one of his original tracks, alongside other record label favourites such as Yamil, Mula (FR), Giovanni Aparicio, Guy Maayan, Adwas, and DJ Phellix. There are also many imprint debuts, and first ever official releases from producers such as Rameff, Matur, DBRA, and Basement Radio.
In a world that is full of conflict and division, Summer Sol reminds us how music can unite people, and be a way for different cultures to connect. For example, this release has music with roots in conflict nations such as Russia and Ukraine.
There are a total of 17 different countries represented within this release, and its artwork by Helia Jamali captures a desert oasis shimmering with warmth and wonder. It’s a perfect invitation to dive into the waters of positive frequencies where differences and divisions are washed away.
All of the tracks on this release are expertly produced, and most of them could easily have been released as a single. The tracks have a running theme of flowing drums with melodic pads and instruments/melodies linking to folk law from around the world.
