Dance pop luminary Aluna links with emerging Scottish-Zambian producer KILIMANJARO for an electrifying remix of her 2023 track ‘The Way I’m Wired’, out on 2nd February.

KILIMANJARO shows off his craft with this high-energy take on ‘The Way I’m Wired’, reframing Aluna’s showstopping vocal in an intricate mix full of percussive flourishes and synth washes. The original, featured on Aluna’s acclaimed sophomore album MYCELiUM last year, a vibrant dance-pop track with a synth-heavy beat while Aluna’s addictive melodies float above the music.

Singer/songwriter Aluna Francis is one-half of the 2012-formed U.K. electronic duo AlunaGeorge and builds upon that act’s sound in a solo context to venture further into eclectic dance-pop territory. She debuted with 2020’s stylistically elastic Renaissance, with several standalone singles appearing in 2021 and 2022.

KILIMANJARO is an electronic producer/DJ, playing the sounds of Afro, Amapiano, House and the world, and forever bringing the party. The Southern African-born, Scotland-raised and London-based artist combines his background of Afro-centric rhythms and influences with the fast paced energies of the western electronic scene, where he has learned and perfected his craft over the past few years.

Having extended his reach to the wider UK and Europe, supporting the likes of Fred Again, Optimo, Melé, Folamour, Denis Sulta, Absolute, Eclair Fifi, Hammer, Theo Kottis, Jaguar, and Arielle Free, as well as bodying his Boiler Room debut, KILIMANJARO is excited to show the wider world what he’s all about.

KILIMANJARO’s rousing reinvention of ‘The Way I’m Wired’ is a welcome reminder of the deep well of creativity that is Aluna’s sophomore album MYCELiUM.
