‘Darker Days’ shows off Ben Nicky and Mairee’s musical dexterity as they masterfully weave together a hypnotic blend of techno, mainstage and hard-dance, creating a fast-paced hard-hitting anthem that’s sure to send fans into a frenzy. Expect nothing less than blistering percussion, captivating arpeggios and intoxicating vocals as the melodic female lyrics encourage listeners to ‘forget all the pain of the darker days’, juxtaposing the dark, pounding beat that underpins the track. Electric synthlines roar as the lyrics break and distort into a ferocious 4-4 beat layered with syncopated, galloping rhythms that is sure to get heartbeats racing.
Ben Nicky is internationally acclaimed for his fusion of hard dance, trance and techno and boasts a discography awash with chart-toppers and remixes for some of the biggest names in the industry. His impressive repertoire includes his single ‘We Come 1’ and his official remix of David Guetta, Dimitri Vegas, Nicole Scherzinger and Azteck’s ‘The Drop’. The talented the DJ and producer has garnered the support from the most prolific names in the scene, including David Guetta, Martin Garrix and Tiesto and released his productions on the esteemed labels Spinnin, Hysteria, Revealed, Smash The House and more. Last year he narrowly missed out on a top spot in DJ Mag’s Top 100 and released almost 40 songs, yet 2023 is shaping up to be his most impressive year yet.
