Club Chinois and TRIP conclude legendary 2023 residency with two-part closing party
The beloved Ibiza night has been at the core of a clubbing renaissance across a marathon summer season
Just when we thought all was said and done in Ibiza, TRIP and Club Chinois are about to push the limits of clubbing culture one last time and confirm what is now clear to everyone: the dynamics of the white island are changing as the season becomes longer and longer.
In fact, for the first time in the history of Ibiza, a residency will exceed 30 weeks when TRIP holds its last event of the year on Saturday 4th November.
TRIP’s closing will take place between two dates: Part 1, on Saturday 28 October, with the exceptional trio Apollonia; Part 2 on 4th November sees the powerhouse names Ricardo Villalobos and Sonja Moonear taking over for the final party of the season.
“As always, my intuition and my love for music pushes me to explore new concepts that celebrate the clubbing culture on the island”, says Johannes Goller of TRIP. “We know that the island is profoundly changing and this is why we created a party with lineups made of the biggest names in the underground electronic scene, while also engaging with the local community, and Club Chinois has proved to be the perfect location for the renaissance of clubbing”.
TRIP is a musical journey that takes you by the hand and leads you headlong into the night. Surreal, psychedelic and trippy, it’s a perfect meeting place for some of the best underground DJs in the world. Over the course of a star-studded season, TRIPhas hosted the likes of Dan Ghenacia, Dyed Soundorom, Manu Gonzalez, Tuccillo, Cesar Vinzent, Isbel, Carl Craig, Enzo Siragusa, Matthias Tanzmann, Reboot, Seth Troxler, Traumer, D’Julz, Rhadoo, Raresh, Praslea, Arapu, Truly Madly, O.Bee & Tomas Station and more.
Following Club Chinois’ incredible debut season after its launch last year, its second scorching summer has included Pablo Fierro’s WE’RE HERE, which brought a stellar line-up of guests including Diplo, Kerri Chandler, Sebastien Leger, Axel Boman, Joe Claussel, Cincity, Jamiie and more, as well as Franky Wah’s SHÈN residency, The Ritual With Anané & Louie Vega, Ida Engberg and La Troya.
It’s set to be a climactic goodbye to the 2023 season for Club Chinois, the glamorously renovated nightclub designed to entice global music talent and hedonistic souls, where late nights come alive with escapism and adventure. Inspired by the decadent yet iniquitous jazz clubs of 1930’s Shanghai, the club delivers old-world hospitality and world class contemporary entertainment to the sunny shores of Ibiza. Revellers can find an innovative cocktail list, five-star hospitality and superb service within the club’s golden sculpted columns, opulent textiles and granite floors – with sensory surprises around every corner. Launched in 2022, the 1,000 capacity club in Ibiza Marina Botafoch is cementing itself as one of the island’s most sought after party spots.
There are now only a few opportunities left to enjoy what has been the most significant new development in Ibiza in many years, including the climax of TRIP’salready legendary residency. It’s set to be a fond farewell to a spectacular season at Club Chinois. Until next year…
