Cosmic Boys & Matteo Vitanza drop their new single, ‘Midnight’
From prestigious labels like Adam Beyer’s Drumcode and Monika Kruse’s Terminal M to their own Legend, Cosmic Boys continue to etch their mark on the global techno landscape, and “Midnight” is a shining example of their honed skills.
Cosmic Boys collaborate here with the talented Italian, Matteo Vitanza, an artist who recently collaborated with UMEK. Matteo Vitanza has also released solo tracks on Ramon Tapia’s imprint Say What?, as well as Spartaque’s Codex and Spektre’s Respekt Recordings. Combining their skills, Cosmic Boys and Matteo Vitanza have come together to create something that’s very impressive.
The unrelenting low-end foundation in “Midnight” echoes throughout the tune and the suspense gradually increases as a result of the ethereal vocals’ otherworldly excellence, which is deftly dotted with acid stabs and haunting atmospherics.
After the uplifting suspense of the dreamlike breakdown, the music comes back to life with ferocious percussion taking Midnight to a whole new level. A captivating and thrilling dance floor experience is created by the skilful and well-controlled chaos within its multiple layers.
This solo track release on the Cosmic Boys’ Legend captures the dark, driving sound that is regularly featured on their label. Legend’s catalogue boasts music by artists such as Italy’s T78, Germany’s Torsten Kanzler and France-based Space 92, and the record label continues to impress with a techno style made for club speakers and the sound systems of festivals like Tomorrowland.
