Kizzy drops infectious new single ‘The Tshh’
Fast rising DJ and producer Kizzy shares his electrifying new single ‘The Tshh’, out on 17th November.
Building around a minimalist techno beat, ‘The Tshh’ sees Kizzy skilfully layering dark synths, handclaps, and subtle vocal samples to irresistible effect. The result is a throbbing, pulsating masterpiece that never lets up. The single also comes with a remix from Montréal-based DJ & house producer Martyn Bootyspoon remix, which adds detailed percussion and reverberating bass to the mix.
“The resurgence of ‘Raptor House,’ a genre I was introduced to 13 years ago, has been a great source of inspiration for me as a DJ and music producer. DJ Baba’s recent work has particularly influenced me.” Martyn Bootyspoon explains. “Feeling somewhat disconnected from the “TECHNO” conversation in Montreal, this remix allowed me to revisit my current sonic relationship with the genre in a modern context. I loved the slyness of Kizzy’s original, and so I kept that while sprinkling in some vibrance.“
Speaking about the record, Kizzy says: “With The Tshh being my 3rd release and I wanted to call upon a DJ & producer I admired and knew would do a great job on remix duties. A chance meeting at Sonar in Barcelona earlier this year sparked a conversation between myself and Martyn Bootyspoon which has resulted in this record.”
Continuing a hot streak for Kizzy, ‘Tshh’ follows the DJ’s Ten Things EP released over the summer, after he announced himself on the scene with his debut EP Siren last year.
