Max Chapman drops new tech house EP on Hush Music, ‘Right About Now’

Max Chapman provides the debut release on, Hush Music, which is a new tech house record label with a groove-laden sound.
The label’s new release Right About Now has two original tracks by Max Chapman who is a UK artist with an international reputation for his upbeat and dance floor focused style. His productions and DJ style utilise energetic basslines, shuffling percussion, infectious vocals, and deep atmosphere.
Hush Music is making its first official release, and Max Chapman joins the record label with a catalogue that already includes Sola, Kaluki Musik, Saved Records, Toolroom, Snatch!, Relief, Hot Creations, elrow Music, and many others of equal note.
It is worth being clear that Hush Music is not Max Chapman’s own record label, and this makes it unclear what other artists we might hear on future releases. Although, this is a very strong start, as landing a big name like Max for a debut release is always impressive.
“Right About Now” is the title cut, and it’s a slick track with jazzy chords and tight percussion, creating a framework for female vocal snippets, and the breakdown is marked by a spoken word sample about the mythology of music. “You Know” is a bumping track with techy drums and a funky bassline, which is accompanied by looped vocals that add to the track’s hypnotic sound.
