Following its release in July 2022, Oliver Schories & Fredrik Ferrier’s deep cut Heaven receives two official remixes by Canadian producer Simon Doty, and Oliver Schories himself – out now on Purified Records.

Leading the original into a hedonistic realm, Oliver Schories reworks the track with expert precision in his scintillating club mix. Incorporating shuffling percussion and floor-filling synths, he maintains the essence of Heaven while taking it to a late-night dimension. Transforming Heaven with a sublime fusion of sounds, Simon Doty employs commanding bass, arpeggio melodies and trance sensibilities, resulting in a powerful rendition that has been lighting up dancefloors across the globe over the past few months.

Breaking onto the scene as a young Hamburg native, over ten years later Oliver Schories’s influence is impossible to ignore. Emerging as one to watch in 2012 with the release of his first album ‘Herzensangelegenheit’ on Parquet Recordings, he rapidly became one of Germany’s most in-demand acts. Growing his back catalogue, he released on revered imprints such as Kollektiv Turmstrasse’s Musik Gewinnt Freude, Oliver Koletzkis’ Stil vor Talent and the seminal Get Physical. Catching the attention of global audiences with his masterful productions, he began touring extensively across the US, Europe and Australia. Launching his own labels, Oliver champions up-and-coming talent in his ‘der turnbeutel’ imprint, and charters releases by industry icons on ‘Pracht’. Despite the challenges imposed by the pandemic, Oliver Schories hunkered down to focus on new music, and in 2020 and 2021, he experienced some of his most prolific release years to-date. His collaboration with Jan Blomqvist ‘Packard’ amassed over a million streams in the first month of its release and received stunning remixes by the likes of Nora En Pure and Monkey Safari. With high profile remixes for the likes of RÜFÜS DU SOL and others, Oliver remains dedicated to his craft and paves the way for the future of dance music.

British Icelandic artist Fredrik Ferrier is globally recognised for his unique tones, unmistakable falsetto and lyrical bass, which carries an emotional and visceral power. Collaborating with an array of the globe’s most esteemed songwriters, who have produced for the likes of Justin Bieber, George Michael, Martin Garrix and Eric Clapton, his music has been supported by BBC Radio 1, Capital FM and many other leading global stations. Working with Spinnin’ Records, Smash The House and Ultra Music, his contribution to dance music can be felt all over the world, and his tracks are featured on Spotify editorials such as New Music Friday, New UK Pop, Hot New Dance and Dance Chill playlists. His musical versatility allows him to perform at iconic rave clubs in London to prestigious lounges across the world, as well as perform alongside prominent acts such as Jason Derulo, Natalie Imbruglia and Pink Floyd.

Simon Doty’s origins from deep in Canada’s Western wilderness to a college basketball shooting guard are unlikely beginnings for the development of a finely tuned electronic artist. This sound selector and creator has a profound understanding of musical composition and engineering that has earned the ears of his peers and heroes alike. With a consistent, yet dynamic signature sound, Simon’s productions are defined by gritty analog synthesis, emotive melodies and tough, driving grooves; formative influences like Sasha, Hot Since 82, Joris Voorn, Eelke Kleijn and Carl Cox are now counted among Simon’s most ardent supporters. After years of mastering his sound, and ascending the ranks of the underground circuit, 2022 sees Doty rocking a hot hand with an arsenal of original output on leading imprints like Anjunadeep, Knee Deep In Sound, Realm and Purified Records. Industry icons Pete Tong and Danny Howard have taken notice with regular first plays and support on BBC Radio 1. Gracing the decks of Purified events in Los Angeles and Oakland, as well as releasing his Dreamscape EP on the label earlier this year, Simon’s Heaven remix will resonate with Purified fans and dance music lovers all around the planet.
