Sabo is back on his record label Sol Selectas to deliver a stripped back house track with soulful vocals and organic sounds.

Sol Selectas has for a long time been the home of Sabo’s own music, and it’s a record label that has cemented itself at the centre of the organic house community. This release is a little more electronic than some of the Sol Selectas output, but it still has the melodic flow and live instruments sounds that are traditional to the imprint.

The original mix of “Freedom” has a deep tech groove with stripped back drums and melodic pads, augmented with acid bass chords to form the backbone of the track. There are also saxophone stabs and guitar licks complementing the uplifting mood of the vocal. It’s a deep and techy composition that has slick and streamlined production.

FNX Omar provides the flipside remix, and it’s a rejuvenating rework that stays true to the original, with the soulful vocal still leading the track. He is a Moroccan artist that fuses rhythms from his country’s traditional music with electronic sounds, and he has become a respected producer of Afro house. This uplifting remix has more drums and rhythmic parts to replace the original’s saxophone and guitar.

Fans of FNX Omar that know the music he’s released by the likes of MoBlack will not be disappointed with this remix, and the original version is also an excellent track, which will work well on a dance floor.
