Santiago Garcia Launches New Record Label S/GNATURE
Already one of the most respected artists in the industry, 2024 looks set to be another career-defining year for Argentinian stalwart Santiago Garcia. Having enjoyed a position at the forefront of underground electronic music for over two decades now – and with an expansive discography spanning leading labels including Innervisions, Exit Strategy, Human By Default, SCI+TEC, Get Physical, MoBlack and Renaissance amongst others – the Buenos Aires-born, Ibiza-based DJ and producer now looks to explore the next chapter of his esteemed artistic journey as he announces the launch of his debut record label, S/GNATURE.
Conceived and established as home for his own prolific stream of solo productions and collaborations, Santiago’s vast musical knowledge and diverse array of influences lies at the heart of everything the label represents, as he looks to deliver a consistent run of distinct and quality output over the course of 2024 and beyond. A project years in the making – and one that has filled him with inspiration and a renewed hunger for music in all its aspects – Santiago now looks set to further cement his indelible mark on electronic music over the months and years to come with his uniquely nuanced, emotionally charged sound palette and unrivalled creative vision.
Christening S/GNATURE’s catalogue with his absorbing new single Mundo Interior (ft. G.Zamora) Santiago draws on his wealth of studio experience and unbridled creativity to deliver a strikingly nuanced underground cut, backboned by complex polyrhythmic triplets, stripped back arpeggios and a chugging groove that drives the record across its duration. Penetrating the soul with mind-altering tones and an expertly manipulated topline from Spanish singer-songwriter and vocalist G.Zamora (ORIANNA, Hurry Up Slowly, REDOLENT and more) this latest record demonstrates Santiago’s incredible versatility as a producer, as well as his inspiring sonic vision for what is tipped to be one of the most exciting new labels in electronic music this year.

“I am setting up S/GNATURE as a platform to showcase my own personal work and artistic concerns; a space where I can collaborate with the artists I admire, to explore unique collaborative creations. The first release on the label is ‘Mundo Interior’, alongside my good friend G.Zamora. It’s a complex and unique percussive work, not intended for dancing but to be appreciated and enjoyed for its unconventional rhythm. It provides an organic sound and profoundly meaningful lyrics about love and the importance of expressing ourselves before departing from this world”.
Born and bred in the vibrant city of Buenos Aires, Santiago Garcia has been at the forefront of an established wave of artists supplying the deep house and melodic techno traditions since their early inception. Over the course of his esteemed twenty-year career, the Argentinian has nurtured a remarkably intelligent, deliciously challenging sound that finds equal comfort within the international festival and underground, after-hours communities – a multi-faceted sound palette which has seen him entertain crowds from behind some of the most revered DJ booths in the world.
