SOUND WAVES ANNOUNCES THE TIMETABLE FOR THE 16TH EDITION THIS SATURDAY IN ESMORIZ, PORTUGAL
THE FESTIVAL WILL HAVE 21 HOURS NON STOP WITH 18 ARTISTS THAT WILL PRESENT THE BEST OF TECHNO AND UNDERGROUND
A few days before the festival, Sound Waves festival with the greatest roots of Techno and its subgenres in Portugal, has announced the Timetable of the 16th edition, led by a lineup of international DJs and producers 999999999, Indira Paganotto, Lilly Palmer, Nico Moreno, Fatima Hajji, Charlie Sparks, Cristobal Pesce, Basswell, Karlos Molina, Carlos Manaça, Miss Sheila, Du/Art, Øtta, Ornella, Bernard, Deelight, Tiger Lewis and Vuddu.
The 18th anniversary of this iconic event will begin at 5:00 p.m. this Saturday, and end on Sunday, July 9th, at 2:00 p.m. The ravers will have a unique experience for 21 hours, which will begin with the participation of Bernard b2b Vuddu; Immediately Tiger Lewis b2b Deelight will begin to warm up the public to receive the first international artist, Karlos Molina that comes directly from Madrid. To the delight of the attendees, at the beginning of the night the Portuguese DJs and producers will be the protagonists, as the national reference of electronic music Carlos Manaça, the Techno diva Miss Sheila, who will be in charge of embarking on a journey to which he has already accustomed us, preparing the dance floor for Du/Art that, with the usual vigor, will leave the public in ecstasy to receive Øtta the most international Portuguese that will open the marathon of the Hard Techno scene in Esmoriz to all “sound wavers”.
At midnight, the headlining group enter the scene at Sound Waves with the participation of Charlie Sparks with its characteristic sound, strong and industrial, the star of the moment, the Spanish, Indira Paganotto, will set foot in northern Portugal for the first time, promising a set full of their own productions with authentic Techno and Psy Trance anthems. Fatima Hajji, the well-known ambassador of Spanish Techno will play explosive and contagious songs, and finally, Nico Moreno one of the most anticipated artists of the current global techno scene.
In the early hours of Sunday the German arrives Lilly Palmer, one of the solid names of the Techno scene that will present the Portuguese artist Ornellawhich will keep the rave attitude of the viewers. Basswell is known as the Screech Master of Hard-Techno, opening space for the Chilean phenomenon Cristobal Pesce. From 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m, Sound Waves stage will be dominated by the iconic Italian duo from the electronics industry 999999999that exalts the public present for the closing of this 2023 edition.
This year, the Sound Waves venue will feature a renovated stage, covered area, diverse dining area, entertainment space, tattoo, piercing and makeup studio, as well as a premium space where festival attendees can purchase the festival’s fashion collection and much more.
2023 marks the emergence of a new chapter for Sound Waves, one of the most important events on the Techno and Underground scene in Europe, known for the authentic raver atmosphere that has always marked its DNA, and leaves a memorable experience for festival goers from all over the world who have been present in the last 18 years of the emblematic Portuguese festival.
