Tamara Kezz releases new single “Go For It!” on EXIT Soundscape!
EXIT Soundscape proudly welcomes Tamara Kezz to the label with her new single “Go For It!”
Tamara Kezz is a singer, music producer, live music performer and DJ from Serbia, currently based in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
Tamara (Topalovic) is one of the most interesting musicians from Serbia, and the first artist from this country to play at Glastonbury Festival, where she performed 2 times last summer. Her experiences led her to a deep exploration of the electronic music world, which inspired her to develop a unique live set.
Her current live set invites people to dance and surprises them with unexpected twists, such as singing themes with a hint of traditional Balkan melodies interwoven with electronics, or emotionally playing the melodica over a deep undulating bass line. She uses her voice to create imaginary spaces where she reminds the audience of what they didn’t even know they had forgotten.
With her previous project Kezz, she is currently focusing on incorporating more musical instruments and musicians into the production and performance. She also composes and produces music for theatre, radio, exhibitions, performances, fashion shows, and film.
She is one of the composers of the original score for the experimental film “Vernae” by Ethan Folk, an audiovisual artist from Seattle, which won the award for the best music composition at the Local Sightings Film Festival (2017) in Seattle.
So far she has released 2 EPs, 3 studio albums and more than 20 singles on compilations and in collaboration with other musicians. Together with her sister Tijana Ristić, she founded the record label Pola / Пола and recently released the first vinyl Tijamara – “Owl Dance” and another digital release “Move On”.
In 2022 she was recognized by EXIT festival and had the premiere at the legendary Dance Arena, where she opened the night for Monolink, Satori, Stephan Bodzin and ARTBAT!
In the past years, she has performed solo or within various music projects in cities throughout Serbia and the former Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Albania, Greece, Spain, Italy, Austria, Germany, Belgium, Czech Republic, Norway and the UK.
Save the date, “Go For It!” will be available on December 7!
