TRACES puts DELON in a useful kind of middle ground: deep enough for late-night house sets, but not so locked into one lane that it becomes purely functional. Landing on Way Of House on 13 May 2026, the LP works with a darker, rolling pulse, drawing from the groove-led side of deep house while letting indie dance colours and light afro touches loosen the edges.
The record’s strength is in how little it forces. Drums stay steady and mobile, the low-end has a clear job to do, and the melodic writing keeps to a dusky register rather than reaching for obvious peaks. There are shades here that sit near the more hypnotic ends of Get Physical and Crosstown’s club language, though DELON keeps the finish clean and direct.
Across the full-length, TRACES feels less like a batch of DJ tools and more like a focused club statement. It has enough detail for closer listening, but its real value is probably in the booth: warm-up slots, deeper transitions, and moments where a set needs tension without glare. Way Of House gives it the right frame, especially for selectors working between deep house, indie dance and groove-first club music.
