SOUND WAVES WINTER EDITION CONFIRMS 2ND EDITION FOR 2024 IN LISBON, PORTUGAL
Last Saturday, 2nd December, the first edition of Sound Waves Winter Edition took place with more than 10 hours of Techno with OGUZ, Patrick Mason, Joanna Coelho and many more.
After the resounding success of Sound Waves Winter Edition ‘s debut in Lisbon, Portugal, which was sold out, thousands of ravers vibrate with the sound of Techno and Hard Techno of OGUZ, Patrick Mason, Joanna Coelho, DU/ART, Marco Bailey, Cera Khin and Fatima Hajji, the festival presents his official Aftermovie and confirms the second edition scheduled for the 7th December 2024 at the Pavilion Carlos Lopes.
The titanic odyssey of the Sound Waves Winter Edition began at 8.30pm with the opening of the captivating Techno Pumping sounds of Brazilian Joanna Coelho, who during her set, danced and infected the audience with her sound and was one of the stars of the night. The legend Marco Bailey was the second artist to dominate the dancefloor and raised the temperature of the ravers, masterfully paying the way for DU/ART, who brought national pride to the stage with his insightful and engaging Techno Groove.
Sound Waves’ debut in Lisbon was outstanding in terms of the quality of the line-up, the powerful stage, the lights and lasers scattered around the venue, providing a fusion of Techno and Hard Techno beats that will remain in the memory of the entire audience as an unforgettable night.
In the third round, the stage turned to underground style with Berlin’s charismatic star Patrick Mason, who gave himself body and soul, bringing his unwavering musical identity from the acclaimed Berghain club to Portugal. At 2 a.m. Cera Khin came on stage with the audience already in raptures and showed why she is one of the most in-demand artists of the moment.
Spanish hurricane Fatima Hajji emerged immediately, delivering a powerful attitude throughout her gig. The most coveted name on the current electronic scene, OGUZ, played for more than an hour, exalting the sonorous chords of hard techno in a set until 6am that culminated in an unrivalled and apotheotic end to the night for this new edition of the Sound Waves brand.
In 2023 the Sound Waves Festival marked its path by putting its stamp on several cities in Portugal: in Lisbon with the Winter Edition, in Porto with two editions of Sound Waves Invites at the Hard Club – the first on 6th April and the X-Mas Edition on 16th December.
Throughout 2024, Techno and Hard Techno lovers will enjoy Sound Waves even more, through the
two summer and winter editions and various sessions of the Sound Waves Invites event. Sound Waves is a festival known for its unique DNA and has positioned itself as one of the biggest in Europe within the musical genre and as a reference for the entire raver community worldwide.
